Emmy Nominated Actor Visits Sullivan Middle

On Wednesday February 3, 2016 Sullivan Middle School hosted Emmy-Nominated actor Mr. Richard Cabral. Using dramatic monologue, he spoke of his life as a gangmember and drug user whose life was changed as he recognized the lies that society was feeding him. Today Mr. Cabral is a highly acclaimed movie actor and poet. SMS students, faculty, staff, parents, and community partners listened with rapt attention and showed their appreciation with thunderous applause at the close. We would like to share our special day with you.

Keep Worcester Walking in Winter

Property owners can be fined $75 per day and/or assessed the cost of removal by the City if they do not clear snow and iceDo your part to keep sidewalks, curb-cuts, and ramps clear of snow and ice!

You all have heard of the No Child Left Behind Act that brought many layers of accountability to schools and school districts. I refer to it, not because of what the act represented, but because of the powerful message behind the words "No Child Left Behind".

Congratulations MLK Jr. Art Contest Winners and Teachers

Congratulations to the students who won or placed in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Essay/Art contest and whose work will be on display at the Worcester Historical Museum from January 12, 2016 through February 27, 2016. They will be honored on January 30 at the Historical Museum beginning at 1 pm.
